Not only were all gaps and cracks air sealed, but the walls and floors were insulated with a combination of cellulose and batten insulation. High-quality cellulose was added to the knee walls of this attic in order to prevent air leakage from the roof from affecting the home's overall temperature. Tru-Soft cellulose is a heat flow and fire resistive material that created a more comfortable and energy-efficient attic for this customer.
This 1,500 square foot attic had very little insulation, which made the whole home lose valuable air and comfort. Primary Home Improvements came in and blew in enough fiberglass to fill the space with R-49 value! This high R-value will increase energy efficiency and better prevent heat flow.
Primary Home Improvements used a high-powered extraction machine to take out all debris and old insulation. We then blew new, dense fiberglass all over the 1,700 square foot attic to attain the best R-value. This home is now more energy efficient and protected against the outside air!
