Job Stories From Brunswick, OH
Insulation Added to Walls and Attic in Brunswick, OH

A homeowner in Brunswick, OH wanted to insulate their 1950's home, but didn't know where to start. They attended the Medina Home and Garden Show and found Primary Home Improvements had the customer service and high-quality products to help them insulate their whole home. They were immediately signed up for a free estimate at the show.

The energy consultant inspected the walls and climbed into the attic and determined that the home was in desperate need of insulation. The walls were barren and the attic only had bits and pieces of rolled fiberglass strewn randomly around the attic. The rep sat down with the homeowner and explained that RetroFoam would work perfect for the walls and blown-in fiberglass would insulate the attic effectively. He was set up with an install date quickly after discussing the process and contract.

On the day of the project, both the wall and attic crews arrived to get started. The attic crew began by clearing any debris from the attic, then they used a high-powered blower machine and spread out the fluffy fiberglass all over the attic. They made sure to attain a high R-value in order for the home to receive the true benefits of insulation. While that was happening, the wall crew took off pieces of vinyl siding off around the house, drilled 2 9/16" holes in each wall cavity and injected the foam between the studs. They plugged the holes and put the siding back on. Both crews made to cleanup around the installation site and do a final walkthrough with the customer. This customer can now enjoy the savings and comfortability of a fully insulated home.

Garage and Exterior Walls Filled with RetroFoam in Brunswick, OH

A customer in Brunswick, OH wanted to insulate his home without the mess of a demolition. He researched that RetroFoam is an injection foam insulation that is installed in the exterior walls without ripping any walls off or ruining the home. He liked that Primary Home Improvements was family-owned and local and gave us a call to schedule a free estimate.

Bert, the energy consultant, explained the process of injection foam to the customer and suggested we install RetroFoam in the walls and garage. Since the customer's garage was finished, meaning drywall was up, this meant this space was a perfect candidate for injection foam. RetroFoam needs to be installed in vertical, enclosed drywall in order to settle and fill up a wall cavity correctly. The customer was excited that both his walls and garage could be insulated. The customer was given an install date on the same day of his estimate!

On the day of install, the wall crew came in and made sure to carefully remove the aluminum siding around the house. They then injected RetroFoam into all exterior walls, making sure each cavity was filled to the brim. Then, they plugged all holes and placed the siding back on as they found it. In the garage, they drilled 9/16" holes and injected in between the studs with RetroFoam. They plugged those holes once done. Finally, they vacuumed any remnants or debris from the installation site. This customer had a great experience from start to finish and now can enjoy an insulated home!

Walls Filled with RetroFoam in Brunswick, OH

A homeowner in Brunswick, OH needed a permanent solution to keeping his home's temperature controlled. His home was built in 1998 and he wasn't sure if there was any insulation in the walls at all. He saw Primary Home Improvement's trailer driving to another job site and called in to schedule a free, in-home estimate.

The energy consultant used a thermal gun to assess the walls. Since he was there in July, he noticed the walls were coming through very red on the thermal gun. This means that there was not effective insulation in the walls of the home and the hot air was making it's way through into the walls. He explained to the customer that RetroFoam would not only help these issues but also stop any drafts, sound dampen outside noise and reduce energy costs. The customer was set up with an install date the same day as his estimate!

Installers got started on the day of the project and started by removing pieces of vinyl siding around the entire home. They then drilled 2 9/16" holes in each wall cavity and began injecting the foam inside of the walls. There was approximately 1,440 square feet of wall and the installers made sure to inject each wall cavity with RetroFoam. They then plugged all holes and carefully put the vinyl siding back on as they found it. They performed a final walkthrough with the customer to ensure that all the work and cleanup was done to satisfaction. This customer was very happy at the results and can now enjoy an energy efficient, comfortable home.
