What's Inside of an Injection Foam Insulation Trailer?
When Primary Home Improvements arrives to insulate the existing walls of your home, we're not just bringing tools, we're bringing a mobile insulation workstation. Our RetroFoam injection foam insulation is mixed fresh in our trailers each day to provide each customer with precision, performance and superior insulating power!
What's inside matters! Here's a break down of what's equipped in our injection foam trailers.
The Heart of any Project: The Foam Rig
There are two tanks in each of our trailers: one for resin and one for the foaming agent.
These rigs are used to mix and pump the insulation right into the wall cavities of your home. They are designed to provide accurate results every time. The resin and agent are mixed and heated at 120 degrees Fahrenheit and water is pumped into the tanks to cycle through the rig for about 20 minutes. The color-coordinated hoses (red, blue and yellow), transport the resin from the rig and into the walls with exactness.
The Pump System
The central pump system combines the resin and foaming agent just before being injected into the walls. This ensures that every space in the wall is filled.
The Equipment that Keeps the Process Moving
To guarantee that each project can be done in 1-2 days, there are three essential machines that keep everything running smoothly:
- Water Heater: Keeps the mixture at 120 Fahrenheit to keep the right composition.
- Generator: Sustains power to the entire rig.
- Air Compressor: Provides the pressure needed to work the hoses and fill each wall with foam.
Think of it like a science lab on wheels; every hose, gauge and tank works together with the goal of insulating your home with the best insulation solution!
